Spring

The last day of Winter was a beautiful 75 degrees; the first day of Spring was a miserable 35 degrees capped off with about six inches of snow.  Our weather has been whacked all year.  This makes our fourth real snow of the year.  Sheela was supposed to work a double shift at the zoo today but when she called to say she’d be late because the roads were bad and they were switching to the train they told her to stay home.  None of the animals will be out, there will be no visitors and the full time staff can handle the chores.  So she has a bonus day.

It's been in the upper 50s to mid 60s all week, but today is cool (40s). No rain and no snow - it's sunny out now, but just wait - we haven't gotten out April ice or snowstorm yet!

I must admit that I'm enjoying the fact that my friends in Texas and family in Virginia have received FAR MORE snow than we have in Michigan this year... :)
