The kids look great - I hope your dad can receive the pics ok.
Did you know that there is a great Windows Powertool that lets you resize pics by right-clicking on the thumnail? Worth a try maybe?

Look at the list down the right hand side and select "Image Resizer".
The winlink system strips out any embedded pictures. I think that will be for the best. I some times get carried away with the pictures.
